This past fall brought the publication of Elizabeth Bradford’s book, The Painted Journal. The Painted Journal is an image-rich memoir about her series of 366 paintings—a painting done every day for a year (leap year). It explores, among other themes, self-discovery and self-actualization. Its publication and production has been underwritten by Wachovia.

The FORTUNE Most Powerful Women Summit®, sponsored in part by Wachovia, was the first conference at which Elizabeth Bradford’s book The Painted Journal was given to attendees. The Summit took place at the beginning of October and gathered some of America’s most prominent figures in philanthropy, government, and business.

The North Carolina Women’s Conference, also sponsored in part by Wachovia, featured a short documentary film about the artist, and a copy of The Painted Journal was given to all participants.

WTVI aired a documentary about Bradford’s work in its series “Fingerprints” in January.

Two solo exhibitions are planned for summer 2008. The first will be in June at the Old Rock Schoolhouse Gallery in Valdese, NC, and the second will be the 20th Anniversary exhibition at Christa Faut Gallery in August.
